A second person has been charged in connection with murder of a 14-year-old Chicago girl.
A 17-year-old boy has been charged with aggravated unlawful use of a weapon and unlawful use of a weapon, among other charges, according to police.
Earlier today, a 14-year-old girl was charged with first degree murder in Endia Martin’s death.
Prosecutors say the 14-year-old suspect aimed a gun and fired at a group of people Monday night on the South Side.
Endia’s family said the fight that began on Facebook escalated to a physical fight and then the shooting, with two groups of people fighting. A 16-year-old girl was injured. Endia was shot in the back and died.
The 14-year-old girl will be held in juvenile detention until her next court appearances in June. If convicted, she faces 6 years in jail, and would go free when she turns 21.
