Police in Woodridge are warning residents after two armed robberies were reported last week.

On Sunday, police say a man approached people in the 2600 block of Forest Dr around 6 p.m. The suspect displayed a gun and took the victims’ cell phone, debit card and a GPS. The victims were not harmed.

Police say this robbery took place less than a mile from an armed robbery on Thursday April 24. The victim in that incident told police she had finished loading groceries in her car in the parking lot of Jewel at 2317 W 75th St. The suspect entered the passenger side of her car and displayed a large knife. The suspect took the victims money and phone and then demanded she drive him to a bank. The victim drove him to the area of Boughton and Naperville/Plainfield Rd at which time the suspect fled the vehicle.

The suspect is described as a man in his late teens or early 20s, 5’8 and 140 lbs. He was wearing a hood sweatshirt, dark heans and a scarf covering his face.
