Friends and family gathered tonight to honor an anti-violence activist who was shot and killed last week.

32-year-old Leonore Draper was shot while inside a parked vehicle at about 10:30 p.m. Friday in the 1300 block of West 116th street on Chicago’s South Side.

Earlier Friday evening, Draper attended “A Charitable Confection” benefiting Project Orange Tree, the anti-violence group started after the death of Hadiya Pendelton last year.
