Forecast: Unseasonably warm temps, showers likely later today
Chicagoland will enjoy one more unseasonably warm day as temperatures are expected to top out in the mid-70s under mostly cloudy skies.
The warmer weather will be brought to an end by a cold front this evening.
Showers and some thunderstorms will become likely late this afternoon and this evening as the cold front moves into the region.
The rain is forecast to move out of the area early in the overnight hours as drier air arrives
Cooler weather will stick around through mid-week.
Highs in the mid-50s are expected Tuesday and Wednesday with cooler temps near the lakefront.
Tuesday should bring mostly sunny conditions with partly sunny skies expected Wednesday.
