The Ritz Carlton, in Chicago’s Gold Coast neighborhood, is celebrating National Grilled Cheese Month.
They’re selling a “Zillion Dollar Grilled Cheese.”
It doesn’t cost a zillion dollars, but it does have a $100 price tag.
The Chicago Tribune reports the sandwich has artisan country sourdough bread, black iberico ham, 40-year-old Wisconsin cheddar that is infused with 24-karat gold flakes.
There’s also heirloom tomatoes, Oregon perigod white Truffle aioli, duck foie gras and a duck egg sunny side up.
It’s served with a side of macaroni and cheese with a pound of lobster meat.
The hotel hopes to sell ten “Zillion Dollar Grilled Cheese” sandwiches by the end of April.
