Police: Woodridge man stabbed 3-year-old daughter to death

A memorial with one cross and two hearts, one with the name Zuzanna, the 3-year -old killed.

The other with the name of Robert Bzdek, her father, who police say committed the crime before taking his own life.
“Keep them both in our prayers. I came out earlier and put up a cross, this time I put a couple of hearts” said Greg Zanis, who is known for placing crosses at the site of tragedies.  He says he was asked to place the sign of faith in front of the home where the murder suicide happened on the 27oo block of Meadowdale Lane Friday afternoon.
“Very sad, very sad for them” said neighbor Matthew Loechl, who was one of many who stopped to say a prayer or leave flowers.
Woodridge Police Robert Bzdek, 34, stabbed his daughter.

Police arrived at 4:30pm Friday and rushed the injured three-year-old to Edwards Hospital in Naperville. She later died in surgery.

John Lyne lives next door to home Bzdek shared with his wife, his stepson, step daughter and three year old daughter.

“It’s shocking definitely, nothing i ever expected. He seemed like a really nice guy, just a really good guy, he was always friendly to talk to.”
Loechl says he often saw Bzdek with his children.  “Anytime we saw them outside, they were having a good time.”
However Bzdek’s marriage experienced trouble recently.  A man who stopped by the home Saturday and says he was a close friend of  Bzdek says the couple was separating and Bzdek moved his things out of the house.

Other neighbors say they saw Bzdek putting boxes in a neighbor’s garage where he also parked his corvette.
Police have not released a motive for the murder suicide, leaving neighbors wondering what happened.

This is beyond sad, especially for a parent to take the life of his own child.. At 2 Timothy 3:3 the Bible speaks of ones having no natural affection. On a brighter note the Bible also speaks of a time where our loving God will rid all of the wickedness at Psalms 37:9,10.
