First concealed-carry permit holder arrested in Chicago

A 54-year-old man lost his concealed carry permit after he was arrested for pulling a gun during an argument.

According to Police, William O’Connell pointed a handgun at another man and threatened to shoot him during a dispute over rent money.

The state’s new gun law went into effect in January, allowing people to carry concealed weapons as long as they have a permit. But a conviction for aggravated assault with a gun would disqualify a person from owning a gun.
