A crash on this Edens Expressway this morning near Lincolnwood has left one man dead and another hospitalized, according to Illinois State Police.
The two-vehicle crash occurred about 1:45 a.m. in the southbound lanes near Touhy Avenue, according to an ISP District Chicago trooper.
A 26-year-old man driving one vehicle was killed while the driver of the other vehicle, also a man, survived and was taken to Saint Francis Hospital in Evanston, said ISP Master Sgt. George Jimenez. A condition was not given.
Jimenez said the crash involved two cars, at least one of which was traveling at a high rate of speed.
Southbound lanes were re-opened around 7:20 a.m. after police concluded their investigation at the scene.
