A pair of armed robberies overnight may be the work of the same two people.
Sarpino’s pizza on the 600 block of West Lake Street was robbed at 2 a.m. Friday by a man and woman wearing scarves over their faces.
The man implied that he had an explosive device in the bag he was carrying.
Police say they got away with an unknown amount of money.
There were several employees in the restaurant at the time of the robbery.
The suspects may fit the description from an earlier robbery of a 7-Eleven on the 2300 block of West Lawrence in Lincoln Square.
