CDC: 1 in 68 children have autism
Doctors aren’t sure why the number of children with autism is increasing at an alarming rate.
The Centers for Disease Control reports 1 in 68 children have autism.
That’s up 30-percent from just two years ago.
And the rate is far higher for boys than girls.
Researchers say the increase could be partly due to better diagnosis and more accurate record keeping.
The CDC didn’t start tracking autism until the middle of the last decade.
