Thirty-four people were injured in the crash. The injuries included knee problems, head aches, and whiplash.  There were no broken bones reported.

Doctors treated physical as well as emotional wounds. Dr. Douglas Propp at Lutheran General Hospital said the patients were evaluated and put at ease.  He said some patients experienced some shock.

“Not phsyiological shock, but scared and concerned,” Dr. Propp told WGN’s Judy Wang.

Passengers were also taken to Chicago hospitals including Resurrection Medical Center, Our Lady of the Resurrection, and Swedish Covenant.

Most of the injured passengers were treated and released at eight o’clock this morning. There are two people still being held for evaluation at Swedish Covenant.
