Water main break floods Blue Line stop
The CTA’s Blue Line is back to normal after an eight-inch water main break on Chicago’s near West Side caused a stop to be temporarily shut down.
Blue line trains had to bypass the Grand and Halsted stop Monday night because of water in the platform areas.
Two or three inches of water rushed into the street and caused flooding in some area garages.
The city’s water department says the water main dates back to the 1930’s.
