Making a min wage job into a well paying career

Lawmakers in several states are taking President Obama’s advice, and not waiting for congress to raise the minimum wage.

Hawaii’s state legislature just approved a bill to raise the minimum wage to $10.10 an hour and Maryland lawmakers are considering a similar proposal.  And negotiations are under way in Minnesota that could raise the minimum wage there to $9.50 an hour.
