Mild weather to follow today’s snow

It snowed nearly 12 hours overnight into Wednesday-starting at 2:29am and ending 1:22pm at Midway Airport. It marked Chicago’s 45th measurable snow of the 2013-14 season-the most which has occurred here in the 129 years through March 5.
The mildest temp in 15 days are predicted Friday–and even that reading will be a tad below normal. Temps then to surge close to 40! A new round of 40s are due Monday. But the overall pattern the next 2 weeks to continues to be below normal.
