Veterans and their families have a new place to go in Chicago to get help.

The “Road Home Program” opened Friday at Rush University Medical Center.

The center offers support services to veterans who have returned home with combat-related conditions like post-traumatic stress disorder or traumatic brain injuries.

The City of Chicago also offers educational support for returning vets and housing for homeless veterans and their families.
