CHICAGO, February 20, 2014 — WGN-TV is proud to announce its 67th season as the home of Chicago Cubs baseball with the release of its 2014 broadcast schedule.  WGN-TV will produce 83 Chicago Cubs baseball telecasts, including four preseason and 71 regular-season games to air on WGN-TV and eight regular-season games to air on WCIU.  WGN will also carry the Lead-Off Man pregame and 10th Inning postgame shows for select games.

All games will be broadcast in HD.

Attached is the complete WGN/WCIU Cubs TV broadcast schedule.  All listed times are CT.

Len Kasper returns for his 10th season in the Cubs’ television booth and will be joined by Jim Deshaies for their second season together broadcasting Cubs baseball.  All Cubs games broadcast on WGN-TV will also be seen nationally on WGN America.

WGN will televise the Cubs’ home opener on Friday, April 4 vs. the Philadelphia Phillies at 1:20pm CT.  Other highlights include games against the White Sox on May 6 and 8 and the New York Yankees on May 20.  WCIU will televise its first game on Sunday, April 20 when the Cubs host the Cincinnati Reds.  WCIU will also televise the Cubs vs. the 2013 World Series Champion Boston Red Sox on July 2.

Chicago Cubs games have been televised by WGN since 1948.
