Police: Toddler hospitalized with life-threatening burns

Chicago Police are investigating how a toddler was severely burned inside an apartment on the city’s South Side.

Police were called to an apartment building near 69th and Cornell Avenue at 8pm Thursday night.

They discovered a 20-month-old boy with life-threatening burns on his body.

He was taken to University of Chicago’s Comer Children’s Hospital in critical condition.

Police are not saying how the child was burned but they say there was no fire inside the apartment where he was found.

The boy’s parents are speaking with investigators.
