Subway to remove chemical in bread found in yoga mats
Subway restaurants will remove a chemical in their bread that’s also found in yoga mats.
The chemical is used to increase elasticity in other products like shoe rubber and synthetic leather.
A spokesperson for Subway says the chemical is approved by the USDA and the FDA for use in foods.
However, it’s banned in the UK, Europe and Australia.
A food blogger launched a campaign against Subway to remove the chemical from its bread.
