NY woman charged in accident that killed Winnetka college student

A 19-year-old college student from Winnetka was struck and killed by a hit and run driver in New York on Friday.

Sarah McCausland attended Bard College and was walking with a group of students just north of campus when they were struck by a car. Another student was also killed.

The driver fled the scene but was located a short time later.

63-year-old Carol Boeck is charged with felony DWI and vehicular manslaughter.

Boeck has a previous drunk driving conviction and is being held on $100,000 bond.

    $100,000 bond for killing a person by a repeat drunk driver who drove away and let the girl die?
