Former Mayor Daley hospitalized in ICU

Former Mayor Richard M. Daley was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital and is in the ICU, according to hospital officials.

The 71-year-old was feeling disoriented while on a plane Friday heading to Chicago from Arizona, according to Daley’s spokesman Rick Jasculca.

He was able to walk off the plane, and an ambulance met him at O’Hare Airport. He was transported to Northwestern, and remains there while tests are being done, Jasculca said.

Jasculca did not have an exact time on when Daley was admitted.

The Chicago Sun-Times is reporting Daley was experiencing stroke-like symptoms before he got on the plane, but was still cleared to fly.

Daley’s family is with him at the hospital.

This is a developing story, check back for details.

Are You kidding me? These crooked politicians have free medical benefits for life and a nice juicy pension and We are the idiots paying for all of that. Don't ever forget that Chicago is the most corrupt city in the U.S. and the state is third. I thought We were no. 1 in both.

No doubt his nephew played a part in his medical problem, but the media got their lackeys out sweeping it under the rug. They will find some Repug to pick on I just can't believe the public lets this bias reporting to go on and on.

The same ICU in which a comatose David Koschman was held for 11 days before dying at age 21. At the hands of Daley's nephew.
