A woman in Oak Lawn is the 17th person in Cook County to die because of the cold this winter.
She was found outside her home on the 8700 block of South Meade Avenue on January 28.
A neighbor found her lying in the snow.
She had a coat on, but investigators say she may have fallen since she was missing a shoe.
The Cook County medical examiner’s office found that heart disease and dementia were contributing factors.
