The gradual climb out the deep freeze begins today.
A healthy dose of sunshine and breezy southwest winds will push temperatures into the low 20s this afternoon. Those highs are still 10 degrees below the average high, but a vast improvement over the last couple of days.
Our warm up continues Thursday with highs expected around 30 degrees. There is a chance for snow late in the day and into the evening with accumulations of ½ to possibly 2 inches. The amounts aren’t impressive, but the timing could be an issue with the bulk of the snowfall coming near the evening commute.
Friday will be colder, but Saturday should bring a warm up. Another chance of snow comes Saturday as well and there is the potential for accumulations of 2-4 inches.
