The Office of Catholic schools has decided to let Catholic school leaders determine if their school will remain open during this next bout of frigid temperatures expected here over the next few days.

In a statement released earlier today, spokeswoman Susan Burritt said, “in light of Catholic Schools Week plans and emergency days already taken, (the office) has asked local school leaders to make a decision based on their own local conditions.   These decisions will be made in the best health and safety interest of children, their families, and faculty and staff.”
