New details emerge in fatal stabbing of Mundelein girl
New revelations offer an explanation why a 14-year-old girl is charged with first-degree murder in her little sister’s violent death in Mundelein.
According to police interrogators, the older girl said she set her alarm, so she’d be awake before her 11-year-old sibling.
She waited for her mother to leave, then stabbed her sister dozens of times. Each time citing an example of why she thought her sister was ungrateful.
Authorities are deciding whether to charge the girl as an adult.
