Another brutally cold day is on tap.
Partly cloudy skies today may yield a few flurries or snow showers right along the lakefront. A dusting to possibly a ½ inch of snow is possible.
The biggest story is the temperatures with highs near 7 and wind chills of -15 to -25 degrees.
We’ll be very cold again tonight with lows around -6 and wind chills of -25 to -30 degrees. A slight rise in temperatures is possible near daybreak Friday, but we still expect readings below zero to start the day.
Breezy southwest winds will help boost temps into the mid-20s Friday afternoon.
Increasing clouds through the day will be the preview of things to come Friday evening.
Light snow is likely Friday evening through Saturday morning with 1-3” of snow possible. Colder air moves into the area for the weekend.
