Another brutally cold day is on tap.

Partly cloudy skies today may yield a few flurries or snow showers right along the lakefront.  A dusting to possibly a ½ inch of snow is possible.

The biggest story is the temperatures with highs near 7 and wind chills of -15 to -25 degrees.

We’ll be very cold again tonight with lows around -6 and wind chills of -25 to -30 degrees.  A slight rise in temperatures is possible near daybreak Friday, but we still expect readings below zero to start the day.

Breezy southwest winds will help boost temps into the mid-20s Friday afternoon.

Increasing clouds through the day will be the preview of things to come Friday evening.

Light snow is likely Friday evening through Saturday morning with 1-3” of snow possible.  Colder air moves into the area for the weekend.
