Metra had plenty of problems with the cold and snow earlier this month, so it’s took precautions to keep its trains running during this snowstorm.
Metra deployed extra crews, to clear its platforms.
Other employees have been physically manning key switches along the Metra lines.
Extra mechanics are on hand, in case any trains break down.
The trains were started, and allowed to idle overnight, to ensure that they were ready for the morning rush.
Metra spokesman Michael Gillis said there were no major delays or problems during Monday morning’s rush-hour.
Gillis said the weather wasn’t as cold and the snow wasn’t jamming switches during this latest storm.
