Two men were found dead Sunday morning after an apparent home invasion in the South Chicago neighborhood, authorities said.
Authorities said two men ages 18 and 35 were apparently shot to death during a home invasion in the 9100 block of South Commercial Avenue on the South Side.
The men were found by police just before 5 a.m. and pronounced dead on the scene.
The Cook County medical examiner’s office has been notified of the deaths but is not yet releasing details about the dead, a representative said.
No suspects are in custody.
Hours earlier, a 35-year-old man was shot in the ankle Saturday night during an argument in the North Side’s Ravenswood neighborhood, authorities said.
About 10:55 p.m., the man became involved in an argument with several other people as he stood in an alley in the 5000 block of North Lincoln Avenue, Chicago Police Department News Affairs Officer Hector Alfaro said.
Someone took out a handgun and shot the man in the ankle. He was taken to St. Francis Hospital in Evanston, where his condition was stabilized.
