House motion sensor scares off man attempting to sexually assault girl

A community alert is in effect in the West Rogers Park neighborhood, after a man tried to rape a teenager.

It happened Monday evening in the 2500 block of W. Morse Ave.

The man poked his head out of a dark four-door car and asked the girl if she wanted a ride; she refused, but she says he got out and pressed a hard object against her neck, then forced her into a nearby gangway.

As he tried to pull off her clothes, the motion sensor on someone’s home security system switched on a light, and the man got scared and ran away.

Police describe him as white, about 50 years old and heavy set, with white hair and a white beard; and he speaks with an accent.

Amazing…they actually printed the description of the criminal. It should assist in finding the SOB. Hilarious how they NEVER give the description in other cases though. Hmmmm….why would that be?
