Cake, whiskey & Elvis merge for a good cause

Elvis Presley would have been 79 years old this week and is still celebrated across the world, by people like Carlo Garcia.

“He’s definitely been an influence in my life…and hairstyle,” Garcia said.

Garcia is the founder of the Cake and Whiskey Club, a group that hosts a different event each month featuring a different cake and different whiskey.
And all the money raised goes to charity.

This month’s event, Hunka Hunka Bourbon Love, honors Elvis Presley and will raise money for the Chicago Coalition for the Homeless.

It is sold out, but next months’ Cake & Whiskey Club event is already set for Sunday, February 23rd at Punch House in Pilsen.
