We expect thermometer readings in the city to sink sub-0 by midnight and not to break above 0 until midday or early afternoon Tuesday.

Here are expected thermometer readings at O’Hare as we move through time–all dangerously cold:

  • 9pm 3-deg;
  • Midnight 2-below;
  • 3am Mon 12-below;
  • 6am Mon 15-below;
  • 9am Mon15-below;
  • Noon Mon 12-below;
  • 3pm Mon 11-below;
  • 6pm Mon 12-below;
  • 9pm Mon 13-below;
  • Midnight Mon night/Tue morning 13-below.
