Scaffolding collapses, crushing three cars in Lincoln Park
High winds caused a scaffolding to collapse in Lincoln Park crushing at least three cars.
It happened at the intersection of Lakewood and Diversey. Authorities say that 3 parked cars were crushed and one car driving by was also damaged. The driver of that car suffered minor injuries. The block has been shut down.
That was one of several problems likely caused by weather overnight.
Rescue crews had to pull a car from the water after it swerved off the road. There was only one person in the car. His injuries were not life threatening.
And about 150 ComEd customers without power in Lincoln Park as well. Crews are working to determine the problem.
