Brave(?) Polar Plungers overcome icy start
Some brave – depending on how you look at it – Chicagoans celebrated the new year by jumping in Lake Michigan.
The lake, however, had different ideas.
A thick coating of ice made it difficult for the group to complete their mission.
Difficult – but not impossible.
Polar plunge participants hit the frigid slushy water as best they could Wednesday morning.
