Vending machines will label calorie information

Vending machines will soon be getting a makeover. A new federal law requires posting calorie counts for all vending machine snacks.

Under President Obama’s new health care law, new labeling regulations require calorie information to be displayed on 5 million vending machines nationwide.

The food and drug administration is expected to release the final rules early next year, but more than likely companies would have at least a year to comply with the changes.

The FDA says the calorie information will help consumers make healthier decisions.

Do thy expect people to read the calorie count before buying items from a vending machine. What is next?

Congratulations, America.. This is what our tax dollars have been spent on. A law to tell us that junk food from vending machines is bad… Give me a freaking break, Obama. It doesn't take a brain surgeon to know potato chips and candy are unhealthy, we don't need it thrown in our faces.
