Man, 70, shot during robbery outside Cardinal George’s home on the Gold Coast

Chicago Police are looking for the gunman who shot an elderly man during a robbery in the city’s Gold Coast neighborhood.
The man , 70, was robbed at about 7:30pm Friday night as he walked his dog in the 1500 block of N. Astor Street,  next to Cardinal Francis George’s mansion.
Police say the robber wore a mask and held a gun to the victim’s head, demanded his wallet and then shot his foot when he said he didn’t have hit wallet with him.

The man threw his cell phone and a few dollars on the ground.

The gunman grabbed them and took off running and fired more shots at the victim but they hit a garage.
The victim is hospitalized in stable condition.
No arrests have been made.

    There are no greenzones in this city is its one big project not shocked. With unemployment cut their is more to come. Broke people are going to go where they think the money is.
