Our Monday starts bitterly cold and could end with another round of measurable snowfall.
Out ahead of clipper system we’ll look for partly sunny to mostly cloudy skies this morning.
Highs today are expected to remain much colder than average, topping out in the low 20s.
Once the clipper approaches this afternoon we’ll look for light snow to develop and spread from northwest to southeast during the mid-afternoon to early evening hours. Bursts of moderate to even heavy snowfall are possible and this could cause headaches for the evening commute. Snowfall totals of 1-2” seem likely, but as much as 3 inches could accumulate in our northern counties if the system slows down.
Another weaker system is forecast to pass through the area tonight and with is comes the potential for more light snow and accumulations of around ½ inch. Lows are expected for reach the upper teens tonight.
