Suspect questioned in shooting death of Chicago boxer

Chicago police are questioning a 22-year-old suspect out of prison on parole in connection with the shooting death of a professional boxer in the East Chatham neighborhood.

Michael Walker died last Thursday after being shot during what police believe was a robbery attempt near 82nd and drexel.

After success in the golden gloves, walker turned pro in 20-04 and was undefeated for four years.

Ge had just signed for a fight in January.

The suspect has not been charged but was being questioned late Friday morning.
