Angry parents voiced their concerns tonight about the sentence given two people who worked for the water department in south suburban Crestwood.
Frank Scaccia and Theresa Neubauer both got two years probation.
They were convicted of lying to environmental regulators about what was really in the water.
Federal prosecutors say Crestwood used tainted well water which can cause cancer.
After court, two parents said the water made their son sick.
A lawyer for one of the convicted workers expressed sympathy for the sick boy, but added that no one knows for sure that the water is making people sick.
