Social media becoming lost and found for belongings lost in storm

Bits of everyday life from those areas hardest hit are showing up in yards more than 100-miles away.

Family photos, insurance cards and paperwork were sucked up by funnel clouds and carried to Chicago suburbs.

A Facebook page has been created to post the found items, and hopefully reunite them with their owners.

The Grundy County Chamber of Commerce will be collecting found items at their office on Liberty Street.

Volunteers will be making a series of pick-ups and deliveries to a location in Central Illinois where residents will be able claim their lost items.

Nancy is our neighbor who found the 1099 tax form in La Grange, IL, about 150 miles away from Washington, IL! We are only 16 miles from Chicago.
