Chicago Sun-Times website hacked

The Chicago Sun-Times website was hacked, and is still not working as of Sunday morning.

The newspaper’s Managing Editor says suntimes.com, and some of it’s associated sites, fell victim to a cyber attack early Saturday morning due to a security issue with the vendor of its domain name.

The website was replaced by an “under construction” page.  Other users are not seeing anything at all.

The Sun-Times said it would take several hours to fix, but it’s already been a day.

Actually, as mentioned here – http://voices.suntimes.com/news/sun-times-sites-h… – the site was not hacked. A vendor was and it has effected suntimes.com. And the disruption is random – many people see the site fine, while some get the "under construction" message.
