Chicago cab driver charged with sexually assaulting passenger
A Chicago cab driver is behind bars, accused of sexually assaulting a female passenger.
Prosecutors say Taj Hussain Syed assaulted a woman he picked up early in the morning on November 1st on the Far Northwest Side.
The woman had been out with friends for Halloween the night before and she was weraing a costume when she got into the taxi.
She told police she fell asleep shortly after getting into the cab and woke up to find Syed had pulled down her pants and was assaulting her.
Police arrested Syed Thursday while he was driving his cab in Evanston.
The cab, listed with the “303 Taxi” company, was impounded for investigation.
