A 15-year-old girl missing from the Milwaukee area for more than three days was found safe in Chicago Friday night.
Kathryn Stalbaum texted a friend Tuesday morning that she missed the bus and was going to ride her bike to school.
But she never made it to school.
Her bike was found Thursday eight miles from her home in Genesee, Wisconsin.
The FBI joined in the search for Stalbaum.
They say they received more than 150 tips but they never thought she was in Chicago.
Police say Stalbaum went up to a Chicago Police officer in the downtown area and asked for help.
The Waukesha County Sheriff’s Department says Stalbaum was in good health and their investigators were planning to speak with her to get more details on her disappearance. Stalbaum spoke with her parents by phone Friday night and she was expected to be reunited with them overnight.
