Charges filed in shooting of 6-year-old boy
One person has been charged and another is being questioned in the shooting of a 6-year-old boy on the city’s South Side.
Cesar Delvalle, 23, was charged Friday night with aggravated battery with a firearm and three counts of attempted murder.
Prosecutors say Delvalle shot the boy in the chest Wednesday night in the 5600 block of South Mozart Street.
The boy was on the way to a tutoring session with his 7 and 19-year-old brothers in a car when he was shot.
Police say the older brother got into an argument with Delvalle and another person before shots were fired.
