Cops: Man shot by store clerk during attempted robbery on North Side

A man is in custody, after police say he was shot and wounded by a store clerk during an attempted robbery on the city’s North Side.

It happened in the 2900 hundred block of West Devon around 5:30 p.m. Monday night.

Police say the man tried to rob the store, and the clerk ended up shooting him.

The suspect ran away.

He later walked into a hospital in Indiana, and was arrested.

    Too bad the bad guy made it to the hospital. Good for the store clerk…this should happen more often and then maybe the bad guys will know that there are some armed good guys out there ready to defend themselves.
