4 officers among 9 injured in South Side crash

The driver of a Nissan Ultima was arrested early this morning plowing into a police traffic stop injuring nine people, including four officers.

It happened at 102nd Street and Indianapolis Avenue on the far Southeast Side just after midnight.

Police say the Nissan rammed an unmarked squad car which had pulled over a Chevy Tahoe.

The squad and the Tahoe were pushed into a marked police car assisting with the stop.

Three of the injured were reported in serious to critical condition.
