Woman crticially injured after taken into custody by police

A 20-year-old woman was critically injured after being taken into custody by Chicago police.

Investigators say the woman was being held in the back of a squad car in the 33 hundred block of South Wentworth while they waited for a female officer to assist them.

Chicago police officials say the woman had a gun on her in the squad car and was attempting to hide it when it went off.

She was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in critical condition.

    Shouldn’t the headline read – woman tries to shoot police while in back of squad car. – Who cares that she was critically injured. She deserved it.
