Riders are blaming CTA employees for the problems with Ventra, the new transit fare-payment system.

According to the rail workers’ union leader angry riders are “verbally attacking” the employees every day. The union is calling on the agency to get rid of Ventra until all the glitches are worked out.

CTA officials said they have no intention of delaying the roll out of Ventra through the end of the year and that they are working on fixing the problems.

The old system was a problem free system. Somebody in cta or city a employee (Ralm) had to have recieved a kickback from ventra in order to make the switch to a problematic system that had known problems over a year before the card was made permanent.

I have been using the CTA to commute to and from work everyday for 3 years. My Chicago Card Plus was completely hassle-free. There was absolutely nothing wrong with the old system in any way. It was simple and easy. We all know the main reason behind Ventra was the money they will take in from various fees that are now in place. The greed of CTA officials is just so transparent here…it is just completely obvious that this entire ordeal was not because they had the convenience of Chicagoans in mind.
