Texas police officer shot in face, catches suspect
A police officer in Texas went on a high speed chase after she was shot in the face.
Stafford Police Officer Ann Carrizales had just pulled a car over, when someone inside shot her twice.
One bullet hit her vest. The other went through her face.
She never lost consciousness, so she went back in her car and chased the suspects for seven minutes.
“I was born to be a protector. I always have been a protector,” she said. “I just want to give myself some time to relax and feel the beauty of life I was blessed to have.
The chase ended with one man in custody, but two others got away. There’s a $10,000 reward for each of them.
The officer is taking time off to heal and be with her family.
