Chicago police are looking for two suspects in a home invasion that left a woman seriously wounded.

Police say that just after 6:00 last night the 47-year-old victim was in her home in the 5000 block of West Van Buren, where she was confronted by a man with a gun and wearing a hooded sweatshirt and mask.

She struggled with him, and he shot her in the stomach and leg.

Even though she was injured, she managed to chase the man. That is when she saw a second person in her home.  She chased both of them out the front door.

One of her neighbors describes this as a fairly quiet neighborhood and says what happened last night is shocking.

A relative tells WGN that the woman has now been released from the hospital.

She is staying with other family members for now.
