Suspect questioned after body found near Greyhound station

Police in Wisconsin are questioning the boyfriend of a woman found dead in the trunk of a car near the Greyhound station in the South Loop, officials said.

The Chicago Tribune cites police sources as saying that investigators found the woman’s body around 6:25 p.m. Sunday at 630 W. Harrison Street after the boyfriend contacted police in Kenosha and said he had killed his girlfriend,

The sources said officers tracked down the car, based on information provided by the boyfriend, but didn’t see anyone in it. They opened the trunk and found the woman in a duffel bag.

Officers spent hours Sunday evening at a parking lot across West Congress Parkway from the bus station, surrounding a silver Pontiac with Wisconsin license plates.

Police believe the woman died in Wisconsin and was driven to Chicago.

The woman was in her 30s but her name was not being released by the Cook County medical examiner’s office. An autopsy was scheduled for Monday.
