Chicago chef helps get you in the spirit of the Day of the Dead

Day of the Dead is a Mexican tradition celebrating the lives of loved ones past.  This Friday families will build altars with symbolic objects and offerings favored by the deceased, colorful sugar skulls will be decorated, and there will be a heavy emphasis on traditional foods and drinks.

Patricio Sandoval is chef and owner of Mercadito in Chicago and is preparing for a week of Dia de los Muertos celebrations, complete with cooking demos and a menu of specials based on the holiday traditions.

Amy Rutledge has all the tasty details.
